Edit PDF

Type anywhere on the page and cover things with a white box. Your PDF never leaves your device.

One PDF up to 50 MB and 500 pages.

Covering doesn't delete

The white box only hides what's underneath: the text is still in the file and can be copied, searched or read by software. It is not a secure redaction. Don't use it to hide confidential data. Text already in the PDF doesn't change: cover it and type on top.

Your file never leaves your device: everything happens in the browser, with no upload to any server.

How to edit a PDF in 3 steps

  1. Choose the PDF

Tap Choose PDF and pick the file. The first page shows on screen.

  2. Type or cover

Tap Text to type or White box to cover. Drag it into place and pull the dot in the corner to resize.

  3. Save and download

Tap Save edited PDF, then Download PDF. The file ends with “-edited” in its name.

What you can do

  • Type: a name, a date, a missing number, a note. Up to 5 lines per text, in black, blue or red.
  • Fill out a form that has no fields to type in.
  • Cover a typo and type the correct text on top.
  • Hide from view something on the copy you send, knowing it’s still in the file.

Covering doesn’t delete

The white box hides what’s underneath only visually. The covered text is still inside the PDF: it can be copied, searched and read by software. That’s why it is not a secure redaction. To send a document without an ID number, password or confidential data, ask whoever made the document for a version without it.

Your file never leaves your device

The PDF is opened, edited and saved in your browser, in your phone’s or computer’s memory. No file goes through our server.

Limits

One PDF up to 50 MB and 500 pages, with up to 100 items. Only the page on screen is drawn.

Frequently asked questions

How do I type on a PDF on my phone?

Choose the PDF, go to the page with the arrows and tap Text. Type in the box below the page and drag the text into place with your finger. To change the font size, use the minus and plus buttons.

Can I fill out a PDF form?

You can type over the fields: name, date, address. Add one text per line and adjust its place.

Can I change a word that's already in the PDF?

Not directly. Changing existing text would require rewriting the file’s font. The way to do it is to cover the word with a White box and type the new one on top.

Does the white box delete what's underneath?

No. It only covers it: the text underneath is still in the file and can be copied, searched or read by software. It is not a secure redaction. Don’t use it to hide ID numbers, passwords or confidential data.

How do I remove something I added by mistake?

Tap it and then Delete, or tap Undo to remove the last one. Nothing changes in the file until you save.

Can I type on several pages?

Yes. Go to the page with the arrows and add the text or box. Up to 100 items in the whole PDF.

What about signing?

For a drawn or typed signature, use sign PDF.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is opened, edited and saved in your browser. It never leaves your device.

Is there a page limit?

Up to 500 pages and 50 MB. Only the page on screen is drawn, so your phone doesn’t freeze.

Can I open a password-protected PDF?

No. A protected PDF won’t open here, and we don’t try to break the password. See the guide PDF won’t open or is password protected.
