Not a tax invoice
An estimate is a proposal. If the law in your place requires a tax invoice for the job or sale, issue it through the official system.
Your details, logo and items are stored only in this browser, for your next estimate. Nothing is sent to us. On someone else's device, tap Delete my data when you finish.

How to make an estimate in 3 steps
Fill in your business and the client
Name, contact and, if you want, a tax ID and your logo.
Add the line items
Description, quantity and price for each one. The total, the discount and the amount in words are calculated for you.
Download the PDF
Check the preview and tap Download estimate as PDF. Send it by email or message.
Your business details, logo and terms stay saved on this device. After downloading, tap New estimate: the next one comes with the next number, and you only change the client and the items.
What goes on the PDF
| Part | What shows |
|---|---|
| Header | Your logo, name, tax ID, phone and email, with the estimate number, date and expiry date |
| Client | The name and, if you want, the client’s tax ID and contact |
| Line items | A table with description, quantity, unit price and amount |
| Totals | Subtotal, discount (amount or percent) and the total, also in words |
| Terms | How long it is valid, the payment terms and your notes |
The PDF has real, selectable text on an A4 page. With many items, the table continues on the next page with the header repeated.
Tips to win the job
- Describe each item. “Paint 2 bedrooms, patch and 2 coats” sells better than “painting”.
- Say what is not included. Materials, delivery or extra visits go in the notes, so there are no surprises.
- Add a timeline and a warranty. They give the client confidence to say yes.
- Send it fast. An estimate that arrives the same day has a better chance of being accepted.
Your data never leaves your device
The estimate is built in your browser, and so is the PDF: it never leaves your device, and neither do the items, the prices or your logo. Your details are saved only in this browser. On someone else’s phone or computer, tap Delete my data when you finish.

Got paid? Make a receipt with the receipt generator. To have the client sign the approved estimate, use sign PDF. To send photos of the job with the estimate, turn them into a PDF with JPG to PDF and merge the PDFs. The full walkthrough is in the guide how to make an estimate on your phone.
Frequently asked questions
Is the estimate maker really free?
Yes. You build the estimate, download the PDF and make as many as you want, without paying or creating an account. There is no watermark on the estimate.
Is an estimate the same as a quote?
They are close. An estimate is your best price for the job, usually valid for a few weeks; a quote is often a fixed price. This tool works for both: write the terms in the notes, and the PDF shows how long the price is valid.
What should an estimate include?
Your business name and contact, the client, each item with quantity and price, the total, how long the estimate is valid and the payment terms. Timeline and warranty go in the notes.
How do I add my logo?
In Your business or you, tap Choose logo and pick a JPG or PNG. The logo is resized on your device and stays only there, for your next estimates.
How does the discount work?
Choose Amount or Percent. The discount comes off the subtotal, rounded to the cent, and the PDF shows the subtotal, the discount and the total. The discount cannot be bigger than the subtotal.
Can I use quantities like hours or square feet?
Yes. The quantity takes up to 2 decimal places, like 2.5 hours or 120.75 sq ft. Put the unit in the description, for example “Interior wall painting (sq ft)”.
How long should an estimate be valid?
Usually 7 to 30 days. The tool starts at 15 days and writes the expiry date on the PDF. If material prices change fast, use a shorter period.
Is an estimate a tax invoice?
No. An estimate is a proposal, not a tax invoice. When the job is done and paid, send an invoice if your client needs one, or a receipt made with the receipt generator.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your device’s browser, so your next estimate is faster. Nothing goes to our server, not the logo, not the PDF. To erase it, tap Delete my data. Details in the privacy policy.
Can the client sign the approved estimate?
Yes. Send the PDF, and the client signs it on their phone with sign PDF, without printing. If the file is too big, compress the PDF first.
