The payment method (cash, card, bank transfer, check and others) is optional, but it helps to find the payment later.

A receipt is not a tax invoice
The receipt proves you were paid, but it does not replace a tax invoice. The PDF says so in the footer, so nobody mixes them up.
Your data never leaves your device
The receipt is built in your browser, and so is the PDF: it never leaves your device, and neither do the amount, the names or your signature. Your details are saved only in this browser, for your next receipt. On someone else’s phone or computer, tap Delete my data when you finish.

Frequently asked questions
Is the receipt generator really free?
Yes. You fill it in, download the PDF and make as many receipts as you want, without paying or creating an account. There is no watermark on the receipt.
What should a payment receipt include?
The amount, what the payment was for, who paid, the date and place of payment, and the signature of the person who received the money. The generator asks for each of these, and adds the amount in words.
Is a receipt the same as an invoice?
No. An invoice asks for payment; a receipt confirms the payment was made. This receipt is also not a tax invoice: if the law in your place requires one, issue it through the official system.
How do I sign the receipt?
Draw your signature with your finger, or type your name in a signature font, and it goes into the PDF. Or leave it out: the receipt has a line to sign by hand after printing. A drawn signature is an image, not a certificate-based digital signature. To sign other documents, use sign PDF.
What is the customer copy?
It is the receipt the payer keeps. If you print and want a copy for your records, choose 2 copies: the page has the customer copy on top and yours below, with a cut line.
How is the amount written in words?
Automatically, the way it is written on checks: $1,200.50 becomes “one thousand two hundred dollars and fifty cents”. It shows below the amount while you type, so you can check it.
Can I make a receipt for a partial payment or an installment?
Yes. In Payment for, write something like “installment 2 of 5, English course”. The receipt confirms only the amount received, not the whole debt.
Which currencies can I use?
US dollars, euros and Brazilian reais. The amount in words follows the currency you choose.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your device’s browser, so your next receipt is faster. Nothing goes to our server, not even the PDF. To erase it, tap Delete my data. Details in the privacy policy.
How do I send the receipt?
Download the PDF and attach it to an email or a message as a document. To put the receipt together with other proofs of payment, use merge PDF.
